AK MTK-02 Side Mounting Rail

The MTK-02 was adapted from the well-known Russian MTK-01B side plate. This model will fit both milled or stamped receivers. These new plates fit virtually any side mount meant for the AK and were designed for rifles which were not originally equipped with a side mounted optics rail. The MTKs classic design is based on the military system which guarantees to maintain zero with Soviet derived quick detachable sighting systems while providing the most solid and reliable optics base known to exist for the Kalashnikov rifle. The rail has grooves on the inner surface to match rivet heads on AK-type receiver. The rail requires only a minimal number of hand tools and can be installed by most anyone. However, if you have any doubt as to how to mount the rail, any competent machinist or gunsmith should be able to install it quickly and inexpensively. Plates are made from high grade steel and have a dark black oxide blued finish. Mounting hardware not included.
