NEW Venezuela PK-A Military Fast Acquisition Red Dot Rifle Scope, AK, Vepr, Saiga, SLR version. The Venezuela PK-A was a special production run for the Venezuelan military and is the best version of the PK-A series. It is a current issue tactical military scope with dark hammer finish especially developed for Venezuela's humid climate and has all the key options - AA battery (note 1000 working hours), adjustable genuine AK clamp giving you low profile, co-witnessing and centered over the bore mounting. It is perfectly suited to semi-automatic and automatic weapons and is great for high density urban suppression and for picking up fast moving targets. Designed to stand up to the toughest battlefield conditions, you can take it anywhere. It has a super-wide 40 degree field of view that lets you survey and track the complete field of activity. This red dot will significantly improve your aim in dusk conditions. It boasts a bright 1 MOA Red Dot to give you very precise and accurate aiming. It has a special 8 setting, discreet built-in variable brightness control allowing you to regulate the brightness of the dot manually and includes special brightness levels for use with Night Vision equipment. It is overbuilt to handle the strongest of recoils and can be attached to any weapon regardless of caliber. It is compact, lightweight, waterproof and dry nitrogen purged to prevent fogging. The closed windage and elevation knobs have clear, pronounced clicks (2 cm at 100 m). It comes with a full set of accessories including lens caps, tools, a fire card and a soft carrying case. this is a rugged and well made red dot scope and mount.
Couple of things to note,
It is not a light weight
this is a standard height mount not a low profile
the dot is not super bright but can been seen easily in bright sunshine
over all this looks very good value and should be long lasting addition to your AK

This thing is built like a tank. Mounted easily and securely to my Arsenal 104 in about 15 seconds. A quick twist to to elevation turret to put the dot on top of my front sight post, and I was ringing a 9" steel plate at 100 yrds without even trying. No flickering or blooming of the dot at all. Value Quality Ruggedness Price
This is a rugged optic. Built like a tank, it will likely outlast your weapon. I am not fluent in Russian, but it was very easy to zero, as the controls were intuitive. I did end up using a google translate app on my iphone to read it in real time, and that helped reconfirm.

Ruggedness Price Value Quality
This is a very rugged red dot scope. I adjusted it and it fit nicely on my Bulgarian AK-74. Note that the scope sits right on top of the receiver in line with the barrel and co-witnesses the iron sights. You can slide it on without scratching the top of the receiver but when locking it down it will contact the receiver (in my case) without scratching up the finish. This scope was my first red dot and i was blown away by the quality of it . Excellent fit and finish as well as a great co-witness of the iron sight. I only got to go out to 50 yards with it and it was dead on . The battery life say's 1000 hours but i know it is way more with the new AA out there that is available . Value Quality Ruggedness Price
I ordered this model back in late 2012 while working in Southern Iraq. As soon as I got home I mounted it on a Arsenal SGL31-92 (AK-74) and was very impressed with the build quality and ruggedness of this optic. The variable brightness setting are excellent and allow the shooter to dial down the intensity to a very fine point for semi-precison work or dial up for times when daylight is very bright. I noticed no "blooming" effect of the dot when on max intensity and was able to cowitness with the standard iron sights. The standard AA battery power is very convenient (much more so than other watch style or CR-123 batteries). In a pinch you can always "borrow" a couple from your wife's... TV remote.
The Venezuelan PK-A retains zero even after removing and reinstalling multiple times. I now have two SGL31-92's and one SGL21-31 and am considering mounting one of these excellent red dots on all three of them. - Fantastic red dot scopeReview by Dennis13.11.2012
