In 1943, production of PU 91/30 scopes for Mosin Nagant 91/30 sniper rifles was started. These scopes were produced by 4 plants: "Progress", Kazan, Yoshkar-Ola, and Krasnogorsk. A distinctive feature of the PU 91/30 scopes was the lack of a wide circular indentation towards the rear of the scope tube which was designed to fit the forked mount of the SVT.
