Looked everywhere for this after being disappointed with a Dragunov scope that was advertised to be universal by a different company. And it would not mount. Excellent. Works perfect with my 3-4x42 Dragunov scope.

I bought this for my LPS scope, and it worked fairly well. Like Stephen said in one of the 2011 reviews, one of the screw holes doesn't line up. I don't know if that's because of a non-standard design issue with the Romanian LPS scope though.
Overall, I'm happy with the product.

This mount is very sturdy; I am very happy to report my scope holds zero when removed and reinstalled with my rifle. Keep in mind the tolerances are very close and the screws/bolts are tightly threaded. Take your time and make sure everything lines up to avoid cross-threading the mounting hardware.

Used the Hot Swapable Mount, replacing the SVD style mount on my scope. The new mount is well made & rugged! Installed with minor problems but it hold tight and my scope does not move at all.

I replaced the SVD mount on my older POSP scope with this AK mount. It went on perfectly, all of the screws lined up with no problems. This mount moved the scope up and forward into a useable position. I only wish they were available in the hammer tone gray finish to match earlier optics. Great product!

I ordered it on Wednesday and received it today (Friday) so really fast shipping. Removed my SVD mount and like the other gentlemen said one of the vertical screws did not line up exactly. After pushing the screw head down with my finger it started so both verticals went in. The four front screws were close but did screw in tight. The one leg did not completely mount flush on top where the vertical screw tightens down but I figure a click or so down will correct that. Adjusting took me about a minute and it is nice and snug. This mount took care of my problem and I would advise anyone who needs one to buy it!

I've been using some PSL mount PSOP 4X scopes (I picked up cheap at gun shows before Americans realized that Russian/Romanian stuff was good!) on low recoiling 5.45x39 AKs which work well enough if the mount adjustment is made tight enough. But they are cumbersome to remove/replace because of the rear sight since they mount front to back on an AK rail.

Tried one of these, the four side screws lined up perfectly but I had to file the scope base a bit to get it to fully touch on one side. Like another reviewer, one of the vertical screws wouldn't line up. I ignored it as it seemed overkill as not all my scopes have these extra two vertical screws for the base.

Moved the scope about 1/2" forward which is good, but also moved it about 1/2" up which is not so good.

Bottom line, POA/POI at 50 yards was only off 1 click right and 6 clicks up from the zero with original PSL base. I'm getting another as the extra 1/2" above the stock was not as bad when shooting as it appeared in dry fire.

I ordered the four flathead replacement screws but my originals recycled without issue.

once i started replacing Dragunov-style mounting plate on my original russian PSO-1 with this AK-style mounting plate, I quickly found out that holes for top screws do not line well on one side. Plate was not touching scope arms. had to fashion spacers out of 4 layers of sheet aluminium in order for scope axis to stay straight down the axis of the bore.

Picked this up after being told this is what I needed to make my LPS4 Romanian PSL Style scope fit onto my side rail mount for my Saiga 5.45 rifle. The holes for the screws are spot on perfect and the construction is great, its a single piece of high quality steel that appears to be rugged. When I tried to get this onto my scope however the front hole for the top bolt (not the screw on the side) wasnt lined up right, I attached it anyways making sure the spacing was even on the front and the back. I then after reading the manual, i strongly recommend you read it, started to adjust the mount on and off the rifle making sure to get it snug. I tightened it till the key got snug when the metal began to tighten and then took the key apart and made fine adjustments checking it on and off the rifle, it took some time but it fits very snug now with no movement when locked. Im going to install another one on my friends Saiga, great product minus that one front screw defect.
