These military ammo pouches were manufactured in East German post WWII for the Soviet Army. They have a blue stamp on the inner surface: "Lederwaren Zeitz VEB (Z) 1950" . Lederwaren means "Leather Works", Zeitz is the city, VEB means Volkseigener Betrieb, or "owned by the people", and 1950 is the year. The circular mark is a Soviet acceptance stamp . We took these out of a Russian military armory where they were stored correctly. The pouches are in excellent condition and most look as if they were never issued. Some will differ in leather tone and possibly year of manufacture. They are designed to hold 6 stripper clips but can be used for carrying virtually anything.
