NEW Rakurs-A Military Extreme Collimating Dual Black/Green German Post Tactical Combat Sight AK/AKM Rifle Scope. Only Kalinka Optics has the size and experience to export true military optics. Here is another example of a scope you wont find anyplace else because none of our competitors can get them out of the country. This is, without question, the finest red dot scope made for the Kalashnikov. We are now offering an updated version for 2010 with independent focus (-2.5/+2.5). This option is rare on collimator sights and it really expands usability and user's comfort. These updated models are now being rolled out to the elite units in Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD): police, Spetznaz Special Forces, OMON, etc. The Nit-A and the new Rakurs-A are the leading edge of collimating technology from the NPZ factory. The Rakurs-A will fit AK-74, AK-74M, AK-101, AK-102, AK-105, AK-107, AK-108, and AH-94 rifles and variants having the AK or universal side rail. It not only fills the role of the traditional red dot as a CQB short range/fast acquisition sight, but also has unique features designed specifically for longer range combat shooting. The reticle and scope functionality is geared for a single shot kill on an AK-74N at 440 meters in day to heavy dusk conditions. Its fully coated prismatic lens system provides a remarkable, high contrast, wide angle field of view allowing for fast acquisition of moving and spaced targets. The advanced battery-free, illuminated green German post reticle allows the Rakurs-A to be used in extreme dusk conditions. The non-magnification design allows for both-eyes-open shooting eliminating eyestrain. You have an unlimited field of view and maximum ability to register incoming targets. The precision dot system combined with the striking field of view produced by the high quality lens system provides far superior accuracy at distances exceeding those capable with iron sights. The scope has very accurate windage and elevation adjustments in small increments (1/4 mil). The whole adjustment range is 5 mils in each direction. It uses a neutral light filter to amplify incoming natural light for increased contrast and resolution. Special protective lens coatings protect the scope from scratching and fouling in the extreme battlefield conditions where it was designed to operate. A light-dividing mechanical and coating system produces exceptional dual visualization of the target and reticle at the same time so you see both in high resolution for better targeting. Notice the extreme temperature rating on this scope, you'll quit before it will. It comes with everything shown in the picture. A definite BEST CHOICE! Compare the Rakurs-A to Trijicon scopes and youll find the performance equal or better at a much lower price..

Simple, quick, tough, accurate, non-magnified opticReview by Eric15.10.2013
These optics are extremely rugged and well built. A clumsy friend of mine dropped my AK with a Rakurs on concrete, the rifle fell Optic first to the ground. The concrete scraped the paint off but the Rakurs not only still worked just fine but also kept it's zero!

The accuracy beats the hell out of iron sights, but I must say this optic is actually a negative magnification. It increases clarity of what you see through it, but shrinks everything a little bit. I'd say its a 0.9X scope.

The eye relief of this scope is also insanely good. I can ram my eye into the Rakurs to the point of my eye touching the lens and the image is crystal clear. Alternatively, I can look through the scope a from as far as a meter back and everything is still focused and clear! Using the Rakurs is extremely quick and easy to do. For all practical purposes the eye relief is unlimited.

If you are far sighted (need reading glasses to read books, ect) you will need your reading glasses to use the Rakurs. A couple friends who normally only need glasses to read said this scope made everything blurry until they used their glasses. Something to consider if you are planning to buy this Optic.

I feel that the price is too high for the Rakurs but I've bought two units from Kalinka anyway because the Rakurs work exceptionally well. If you want a simple, quick-to-use, accurate, non-magnified, rugged optic which isn't finicky with eye relief, then the Rakurs is for you.
Pro: Rugged, reliable, adjustable Obj big improvement. Con: Tritium illuminationReview by DragunovGR20.07.2011
I own two of these, which are the improved version with dial adjustable objective. I've used them on three different AK platforms with excellent results with daylight CQB. Well made, reliable, consistent, and performs. The problem is an off axis tritium illumination apparent in low light shooting, requiring operator to train in tilting down head to view stadia. Don't know if it's a design defect with poorly positioned prism, or purposeful, hence requires training. At least they're consistent, as both units, including a 3rd early design unit I own, (non-adjustable Obj), requires the same amount of tilt.
sweet!Review by dj-7610.08.2010
Love this thing! Super fast shipping and good quality. The only thing I don't like and its not really bad at all is you have to tilt the sight down ever so slightly to get the trillium to light up all the way. But overall quality optic and fast!
