NPZ Optics is one of the leading Russian enterprises specializing in military and civic optical devices. Day and night vision sights for hunting & sporting guns, night vision goggles and a wide range of high-quality astronomy telescopes are just some examples of the plant’s key products.

Founded in 1905 in Riga where the first optical shops of the German “Carl Zeiss” company were opened, the corporation combines an impressive tradition of scientific achievement with constant development. This can be very well illustrated with the Herz panoramic scope, which was manufactured for the first time in the earliest years of the 20th century and is still produced by the plant.

During the 20th century NPZ changed its location six times because of numerous wars and dramatic historic events. Finally it was relocated to Novosibirsk in 1941 where it has been one of the leading components of the city's industrial landscape.

Today the goods of NPZ are widely used in Russia and abroad. They are supplied to the Russian army, defense and emergency forces and sold to many international military and law enforcement buyers. All products are produced and tested to military standards and have proved to be highly reliable.
