Keep in mind, the beauty of the AK is that the tolerances aren't tight and therefore it will work in any conditions. That means that this mount is machined to sit dead center-line on a standard rifle. Your rifle might be a little wider or narrower, your rail might be a little thicker or thinner; there are a variety of reasons why on your particular rifle it might sit a hair to the right or left but for the vast majority it sits dead center.
